Bogart, a beautiful purebred blue-point Himmie, was about three months old when we got the call to come and rescue him from the San Jose Animal Care Center. There is a myth that purebreds don't end up at the shelter but we have learned this firsthand that this is simply not true. Poor little Bogart was suffering from a congenital birth defect called "megacolon", a very serious condition that made his little life unbearable. We were not able to save him. After only a few weeks with us, little Bogart crossed the Rainbow Bridge. You were a real trooper, Bogart, and we love and miss you dearly. Napoleon was a fuzzy little polydactyl boy orphaned under a porch in Los Gatos along with his sister Josephine and brother Alexander The Great. At five weeks, Napoleon began having occasional seizures. Despite vigorous efforts to stabilize him, his seizures became violent and more frequent and he was hospitalized. It was determined that he had a liver shunt, but was far too little to undergo surgery to correct his congenital birth defect. He would have to suffer with seizures for 6-12 months before surgery even became an option. Within one day of hospitalization, our baby boy’s seizures increased to one every 90 minutes. We had to let him go. We love you very much, Napoleon, and your foster mom misses you deeply.
Tomas
Tomas was only a couple of days old when he came to us and spent four very short months with us before succumbing to FIP. We did everything we could to save him but he crossed the bridge on November 25, 2004. We will miss you forever little guy. Kristina Sutton writes: jeremy was the most beautiful cat both inside and out. he was always there to great you no matter what time day or night. he had the softest fur ever, and loved to play with toy mice and catnip. jeremy had the cutest meow, a unique patch on his front paw, a little black tip on his nose, and a white tip on his tail. he was only two years old. jeremy was everyone's favorite, and we can just hope that for the two wonderful years of joy that he brought us, we brought to him as well. we love jeremy very much and miss him dearly.
